Only thing bad is like most of Germany, there is no AC.
During the summer, if there is no wind and temperatures outside are consistently at 30º+ degress Celsius (~80º Fahrenheit) with little cooling at night, the singe fan in the bigger rooms will not keep you as cool. Also, because it's so warm outside, the only way to cool is to fully open the windows which also brings in all the noise from the main road right outside. The hotel is also by a stoplight and the grown children tend to mash the accelerator for whatever reason. They do orovide earplugs so that it doesnt bother you while you sleep. However, my last week there temps outside were arojnd 26-30º high with 15-18º lows. It was AMAZINGLY comfortable in the room with it cooling to 22º whereas when it was a consistently warm, the room "cooled" to around 28º with it sometimes dipping to 26º (mid-70s Fahrenheit) by early morning.
But if you have business in Böblingen, it's a really good spot to stay. Lidl is just down the road, and downtown Böblingen is only about 15 minutes to walk. The spa is also 10 minutes away walking distance if you want to check it out.
