I hate to be that guy, but our experience here was not good. Upon walking into the cottage, we thought “ok, nothing fancy but not too bad”. Upon closer inspection, we realized this place was not worth the price paid. The whole place had a musty smell. The washroom was clean-ish, but was in horrible shape. Minimal effort was made to make the washroom even remotely welcoming or nice. There was a shelf screwed to the wall that was beyond crooked (I mean comically crooked). The tub spout wasn’t even attached to the wall. When you pulled on it, you could bang the pipe against the wall on the inside. The tub drain was severely blocked which was a gross discovery mid shower. The cottage was showing serious signs of age, wear & tear. The decor was clearly from the mid 90’s and it’s clear almost nothing has been updated (maybe a couple dollar store pictures on the wall and likely the beds). There is no living room. It’s basically just a small kitchen/dining room with a couch. The TV is mounted high above the fridge (weird angle to the couch) and would not make for a comfortable experience if someone wanted to just sit and watch TV. When I read reviews, I saw mention of a pool. I booked for this reason (having 2 kids). There is no pool. That’s on me for only relying on old reviews. There appeared to be one community fire pit. None near the cottage. Disappointing when you have kids and can’t go far. During the night, the fridge kept making loud banging sounds that would wake us up.
