On arrival at reception, we were 3rd in the queue. the first couple were taking a while with the only receptionist on duty. Another member of staff came out, went onto the other computer and totally ignored the guests waiting to check in. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that the guests came first.
This also happened with the staff in the bar. 1st night was okay, but on the second night, the service was poor, with the staff either disappearing into the kitchen or taking forever to serve, and not apologising to us for having to wait. My daughter wanted Fish and Chips - None Left, Haloumi fries - none left. You would have thought that with Fish being possibly a big seller, they would have had some in stock.
I did notice that the rooms on the 3rd & 4th floor were in the middle of being refurbished. It is good that the company have realised that this was badly needed, as both the rooms that my daughter and granddaughter, and my wife and myself were in were tired and dated. Mainly, the bathrooms. In my daughter's bathroom, there was signs of mould, and in our bathroom, the enamel on the bath was chipped in 2 places, the bottom of the bathroom door was ragged due to water/steam damage. This was also the same for the bath panel. The panel underneath the sink was coming away from the wall. and the decor was tired.
