First of all; the staff were absolutely amazing. Smiling and running around for the smallest of favors. Top notch customer service.
The breakfast was mediocre, however, this is a small resort with relatively few customers, and working in the food industry myself I can understand the difficulty of serving fresh produce to few customers. They would probably have to throw away a lot. But they could have done this a little better either way.
The location is a bit of a distance from where most of the action is (restaurants, night clubs, boat services etc), although that wasn't much of an issue for us, people should keep that in mind. On the map everything looks close by, but Ao Nang beach is 20-30 min walking distance, so this caught us a little by surprise.
The resort itself was in need of some maintenance. The staff did a good job cleaning and while everything felt clean the resort in general was in some desperate need of a little gardening. This would have made a huge difference to the experience. There were weeds growing out from between the stone tiles, and the tiles were worn down/cracked etc. Just a little upgrade would do wonders.
Also, there was an outdoor club/party/event right next to the resort on Fridays and Saturdays with really heavy bass music that kept on going till 4-5 in the morning. This was very disturbing.
But overall a satisfactory stay.
