This place is a gem. Located at the front of a peninsula the water views are wonderful. The front desk person was also very friendly and helpful.
A couple of recommendations:
Enjoy their deck. Very lovely to have a drink and soak in the peace
Ask for an odd numbered room, they’re the ones looking at the sea
The diner across the street is really good and reasonably priced.

Checked in at 130am with no issues. Only place we stayed during our week in Iceland that offered washcloths! This was huge for us, an American family!

Housekeeping started at 0700, turning rooms and being loud. Waited to be greeted/sat for breakfast for extended period of time. Charged for breakfast when it was included. Location is solid with food options close by and views were great

The hotel is nice and the room was clean and comfortable but the washroom is really small. It wouldn't be suitable for anyone who's older or having mobility issues because you have to maneuver yourself around the toilet to get in / out of the shower. The shower curtain can stick to you when you turn in the shower. Our shower drain was clogged and we needed a plunger for the water to go down. I don't think there's much ventilation or fan in the bathroom because everything fogged up pretty quickly. I liked that there was a USB plug to charge my phone close to the bed but I kept hitting my head on the lamp above the bed. I guess for Iceland you don't really expect luxury when paying over $400 / night. Parking is free and there's a fast food restaurant nextdoor that offers some good options even for vegans if you don't eat at the hotel restaurant. We picked this hotel because of the proximity to Diamond Beach. Otherwise we'd have to drive almost 6 hours back to Reykjavik.

Very friendly staff. We had a small mixup with the room and the staff quickly resolved things and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Rooms were clean. Great spaces to layout luggage.

Good location
Good location! Some issues with the room that we promptly notified the hotel but after hours in Iceland nothing gets done. Across the street is a wonderful diner with the best breakfast we have had in Iceland go a lot less than the $30/pp for buffet at the hotel.
