My stay was terrible. I made this reservation in a hurry last minute on my mobile phone while I was traveling in Europe, and it was a mistake. My stay was a very long 10 days. I thought I was booking the regular Hilton hotel, but only realized it was the Hilton Garden Inn upon arrival. Never stayed in one before. When my taxi pulled up late at night, I was horrified. It looked bad from the outside. Believe the reviews - the elevators were horrendous. One elevator was not working like all the reviewers said, it hasn’t been working for years. The other two elevators were beyond slow. I travel a lot and in all my years traveling, I have never seen service staff use the guests elevators like this hotel. All the housekeepers, handyman, everyone uses these two very slow guests elevators, making it so much worse. To make things worse, during my ten days stay, the staff’s key cards don’t work well, and they frequently cause the elevators to stall. All the guests were so annoyed with these elevators. And, they make the worst noise while going up or down, it’s scary as you feel like it’s going to break down and you will be stuck in it. The staff were really bad as well. They are mostly young and always talking to themselves and making guests wait at the front desk. They also take forever to answer your questions and when they do, the tone and expressions make one feel like you are a bother to them. Only good staff I encountered my entire stay was the front desk manager.
