This is a tricky review to write. On the one hand, we loved so much about this hotel. But there was one negative, that maybe sounds trivial but means we wouldn't stay there again: A significant shortage of sun loungers by the pool. If lounging by the pool isn't your thing -then I'd recommend this hotel. But if you do enjoy long lazy pool days - it's not for you. As other reviewers have said, the staff and the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The views are glorious. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The room was nice, spacious, good shower, comfy bed, fairly quiet. A couple of tiny things in the room could do with an update (the clothes airer on the balcony was hanging off the wall and the bottom shelf of the fridge door appeared to have been broken off - so nowhere to stand my wine bottle up ;). But these were small things and I’m sure if we'd reported them, something would've been sorted. Housekeeping was great - regular fresh towels and Toiletries etc. And they weren't intrusive at all.
But the sun lounger thing was really frustrating - and meant we were always worrying about whether there would be a space for us. And I know quite a few other guests felt the same. Quite often people would be sitting in the bar/restaurant area with their towels waiting for sun loungers to come free. No one was reserving beds and wondering off - guests were very polite and considerate. It was simply that there were way more guests than sun beds.
