Hotel Peregrino is a great find. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, plazas, and sites. Roberto and Fernando are extremely helpful, and we are grateful for the kindness and assistance they provided during our stay. The rooms are very clean.

The room was pretty and spacious, the staff were friendly, the shared kitchen space was a nice spot to get water and sit in the shade, the small pool and patio was a good spot to relax.

Staff is friendly and helpful, beautiful clean rooms, great location close to the center but not on the main strip so it’s not too loud.

The surest endorsement I can offer: this is my second stay, and I'd book a third without hesitation. Hotel del Peregrino delivers on everything a well-run small hotel should. The location is excellent, the value is hard to beat, and the hosts are gracious without being intrusive — a balance that's harder to strike than it sounds. Practical touches matter here: guest access to a kitchen and fridge gives you real flexibility, and the plunge pool is a treat on a hot afternoon. Bring bug spray — it's the Yucatan. I got bitten; my companions didn't, and I kept forgetting to ask the hosts to help sort it. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Mérida with hosts who take their hospitality seriously, Hotel del Peregrino belongs at the top of your list.

Great location and easy parking. Mario and his staff were excellent. We had booked a King room and it transpired that our room was on the ground floor near reception. Due to the design of the building the ground floor rooms have little or no day light (no window) which does affect the feeling of the room. Fortunately after our first night we managed to move to the first floor, where the room had a window and was much nicer. Rooms are clean, a little dated but quaint enough decorated in the local style. Great location and a quiet area.

We had a great stay at Hotel Peregrino! The hotel is located off the main strip so it's quiet but very close to all the amenities and restaurants still. The beds were comfy and having a safe was helpful. The inner courtyard is gorgeous and you have access to a shared kitchen and tea. Only thing is that the pool is fairly small and may not accomodate large groups, but we did not have an issue as there were just two of us. The staff were absolutely lovely and told us a lot of information about Merida and surrounding areas. We went to some Mayan ruins off the tourist path and really enjoyed them!

The location was excellent . It is in the center of the 'centro' district , a close walk to restaurants, museums, shopping. It's off the main commercial avenues so it's not congested and quieter. The staff is knowledgeable about the area and services (thanks Roberto and Mario) and apparently always at hand (my late-night wifi rescue). I liked staying here.

Looked for a simple yet classic hotel, and it fit the bill. No large pool, classic Mexican decor. Staff was great, location was good, safe area, very walkable, and price was right. Staff can arrange everything and provided recommendations. Would go again.

Staff went over and above to meet our every need. We walked 3-4 miles a day throughout the historic district and felt completely safe. There are many lovely restaurants and shops a short walk away. We hope to return next year. Merida is a gem!

This is not a luxury hotel, but great value and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Great location and has all the essentials. I would have loved to have had a fridge in the room. Breakfast was very good.

Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We stayed there twice and both times staff were very helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast is offered buffet style, everything was tasty. Open area on the second floor has seating and a hot-tub sized pool, great for cooling off on a hot day. We would certainly stay there again another time.

The staff was extremely kind & accommodating but there was no coffee or breakfast available in the hotel which surprised me. There was a communal kitchen if anyone wanted to make something themselves. It was a nice, small, clean hotel, but very basic.

Check in was very easy. Our room was very clean and quiet. (The hotel has quiet hours between 9 pm & 9 am.) The staff were friendly and very responsive, calling taxis for us as needed. A small guest refrigerator in the open kitchen was available. The small pool holds about 6 people and the patio is delightful. Very walkable to the historic Centro or the Paseo de Montejo area.

Everything is good: breakfast, staff, tour services, room condition. Too bad there is no water in the room one night, but it was repaired in the morning. 6-7 minutes walk to the tourist street and about 15 minutes walk to downtown. Tour guide of Eco Tour is excellent and very friendly.

Merida trip

Charming colonial house converted into a great place to stay while visiting Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. We spent a memorable 2 weeks at Hotel Del Peregrino and it was fabulous!!!! The staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. We arranged all our tours and outings through the front desk and they delivered outstanding results every time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Merida. Its location is perfect to all the action of colonial Merida, without the noise of a busy downtown.

It's a very nice hotel. The location is good which is both quiet and within walkable distance to the centro. The room is clean and cozy. We had a lot of good time sitting at the platform on the 2nd floor, which was so comfortable and relaxing. There's a guest fridge at the breakfast area. So we could enjoy cold beer everyday when we rushed back from the heat. The staffs are very nice, always friendly and helpful. I'd strongly recommend this hotel.

A fantastic 2 night stay at this colourful hotel in Merida. We were lucky and managed to park on street, right outside the hotel free of charge. A lovely sun terrace with a plunge pool, ideal for catching some late afternoon sun with a cold beer after a day out exploring. We liked the fridge provided in a communal area for guests to use. Basic mexican style breakfast available in the morning including tea / coffee, eggs, bread and cakes. Friendly and helpful staff, our room was quiet overnight even though we wee facing out towards the street.
