When I checked in, I felt some pressure to tip housekeeping. I don’t like to be pressured into tipping, especially when I feel tipping is getting out of control. And I’m not a fan of tipping prior to service. However, I tipped because I felt a little pressure to do so. Ironically, we didn’t get any housekeeping for the three days we were there. I had to go to the front office each night and ask for towels and to have our garbage emptied. To his credit, Clancy was very apologetic and responsive. He sent someone over to empty our trash and give us new towels. After the second night, I asked for a refund of the tip which he gave back rather quickly.
Other than that, the place is great. The rooms are good size and clean. They are comfortable. The location is great. It doesn’t have a typical motel field, which was kind of nice. I would recommend this place. I’m hopeful that the housekeeping fiasco was just a one off.
