Dirty hotel with black mold in shower
I am very surprised this hotel has so many good reviews. While our bed was comfortable our room was gross overall. There was black mold all over the shower, spots all over the mirror on arrival, stains all over the day bed and weird “drips” down the wall. The paint is peeling off the walls in every hallway. I thought the pool was dirty and the prices at the pool bar were completely ridiculous and not on par with anything else in Ao Nang. The location is ok but you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. We actually left our room for 2 nights and went to Khao Lak where we stayed at a gorgeous, clean property. That was partially due to our dislike of Ao Nang as a whole but also due to how awful our room was. I probably should have said something to the hotel but I didn’t feel like dealing with it. The staff seemed to be unable to answer any of our questions about anything and it felt like a waste of time to try and complain. I love Thailand, not my first trip and have never had an experience like this at any other hotel there.
