If the rooms were updated, this would be a hidden gem. I get that for a golf club, hotel rooms are a bit of an after thought. The rooms at Tampa Palm, and there are only 25 of them, are primarily there to support weddings or events. Compared to any other 3 star hotel, the rooms are nice. The decor is a bit dated, as is the 30" TV that is unable to swivel toward either bed due to being in an armoire. Not that big of a deal but the armoire and other furniture in the room was about 15 years old. Beds were clean and ok from a comfort standpoint. The room is VERY spacious and we had a nice view of the back lake. The bathrooms are large as well and were the bright spot of the room. Bathroom was more modern and didn't come off as 'dated' compared to the furniture/carpets. While the club does have a dining facility, it was closed Sat night due to a wedding and didn't open on Sunday mornings until around 11am, so breakfast before golf was beef jerky. The golf course was a 7 out of 10 and I would give the entire experience the same score. Better than average. I would stay there again but I would bring more provisions and my ipad.
