This hotel lays in the city centre close to all main sightseen attractions in the golden triangle. We booked this hotel as it was a last minute booking with not many other options available, the price was quite expensive compared to other hotels in the city. It is described as a 4-star luxury hotel, unfortunately we had a very different view.
Positives:
- The location is perfect, walking distance to many sightseen locations such as the Twin towers, KLIA park, walking street Jalan Alor, Pavillion, the observer tower and many more.
- The staff were generally very friendly and helpfull.
Negatives:
- The room standards were extremely bad. Walking into the room the first time, we got shocked over the very strong odor of mould and decay. Keep in mind we have stayed at many different hotels in Malaysia and are used to high humidity - this was not just humidity.
- Strong odor from the bathroom, probably something wrong with the sewage system. Unfortunately this smell spread throughout the room even with the bathroom door closed. They cleaned our room everyday so there is NO way they didn’t know about the smell.
- No breakfast options (café close to the hotel, but there were many better options within walking distance).
We only stayed for a couple of nights, and in lack of other options it was endurable, but definitely not the standard you expect for a 4-star hotel. In summary, try to find another hotel, but if it’s your last option you will endure, just hold your breath.
