Inexpensive but Still a Good Option
The location was amazing however the hotel is old and has been subject to the salt air and moisture from the ocean a few hundred feet away. Every metal item was rusty. This includes the lamps and lamp shades, faucets in the bathroom, etc. The staff were okay but slow or standing around talking. No blankets on the bed, only a sheet so we had to go to the office for one and for ice as the phone did not work. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was accommodating. Plenty of towels. They supplied great shampoo, conditioners and lotion. We tried to get coffee in the morning but it was always empty and they were “about to make more”. There was no sound proofing so we heard everything in all the adjacent rooms especially the plumbing and anyone one outside our room. Knowing what to expect helps to adjust your expectations so hoping my honest post helps others decide. I’d say check the prices elsewhere then stay here.
The great part was truly the location. Beautiful beach with sunset. And next door is the Saltgrass Steak House. YUM!! Don’t miss dining there. We will stay here again, just knowing that the reasonable price of the room left plenty of money left to afford that amazing steak dinner.
