When we first arrived we had two rooms. My room with my husband was having some major aircon issues and it was a hot day, so it was beyond boiling. After finally getting someone up there to help us over an hour and a half we were being ‘upgraded’ to a room whose aircon also didn’t work.
It wouldn’t drop below 24/25 degrees. Sweating and hot, uncomfortable on a concrete bed. I wrote to the hotel manager with photos of the temp at 3:30am and 4:30am. We had to leave at 8am for our tour the next day.
By 2:30pm I still had no reply. So I contacted the hotel and Hotels.com to say we wanted to check out 1 night early due to the lack of assistance, communication and lack of comfort.It was unacceptable to have no response for nearly an entire work day and we understand we had missed check out for that day, but wanted to check out the next day at least
Hotels.com contacted the hotel and we were declined. I then replied several times to Hotels.com and the hotel managers email CC’d on every occasion. The hotel not once emailed me wanting to resolve the issue.
When I finally got back to the hotel to speak to the manager he ‘proudly’ stated he had been there since 9am to discuss this with me when I came to the desk.
I left at 8am!! You can’t write a simple email to state you wish to address my concerns when I come down
His attitude, so pompous, lacking in customer service. They even laughed while I walked away to the elevator.
Beds rock hard, aircon crap, staff revolting. Avoid!
