Disappointed
Disappointing. We booked a night away with a table reservation for food in the garden room. I don’t know this hotel but assumed, that considering that I’d heard good things about the restaurant, this would have been a comfortable place to sit and eat. Instead it was a cold conservatory with a huge screen showing sport and was more of a sports bar early evening with wicker garden chairs and garden tables. Cold and uncomfortable. We did ask to move to the main restaurant upon arrival but were told there was no room. A bit stuck at that point as we had travelled and had nowhere else to eat. Both our meals were disappointing considering the price. The pheasant pie particularly tasteless and generally small portions. There is not an area to sit in the main bar after your 2 hour table booking expires either so we ended up getting a taxi back into Milton Keynes for somewhere warm to have another couple of drinks. Room was okay, simply decorated and certainly okay for the price.
