The hotel was comfortable, clean, and functional, I'll give it that. The rooms and entire hotel were clearly recently renovated, and there was security out front at all times; it was nice.
That said, for the price paid, and for being a Hilton hotel in the heart of a major city's Downtown, I would have expected a few things to be better. Here are a few of the issues I encountered.
- No microwaves in the rooms (one in the lobby)
- Old (not smart) TV, laggy and with few channels
- Breakfast is not included; room service not available
- HVAC Fan is quite loud
- No water in room; no water refiller anywhere except in the Fitness Room
- My bathroom didn't have hand soap until I requested it
- $30/night mandatory destination fee charged; benefits are $10 off from the snacks/drinks/bar areas (where water bottles are $8, mind you!), free premium wifi (but regular wifi still works), $15 laundry credit (but there's a $7 service fee and the cheapest item are underpants for $8 and sundays are 25% extra), or 3 free hours per day on the city's bikes (this would be nice - but it doesn't work! there's no way to redeem this).
- Also, no pool like some reviews mentioned - they got rid of it when they renovated over the pandemic.
Overall, just fine. It did the job, and felt clean and modern, but wasn't a top-notch experience to return to.
