I’m highly unlikely to recommend AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway to anyone. My negative experience started at check-in when the staff was less than welcoming. Once I reached my room and prepared to freshen up, I discovered a towel with a ball of hair rolled up in it. I called to request the bathroom be cleaned again and fresh towels provided, but no one ever came. When I followed up later that night, I was told housekeeping had left for the day and there was nothing they could do. I was told they would check for a room change, but that didn’t happen either.
Additionally, my experience at the hotel bar was just as disappointing. I was ignored by the bartender for 15 minutes, and when she finally took my order, there was no greeting to me or the other Black guests, despite her also being Black. I waited over an hour for my food while other guests who ordered at the same time were served. When I asked about my order, she took another 15 minutes before checking on it, then claimed the cook never received the ticket. Her dismissive behavior the entire time made me feel like she purposely withheld my order.
Overall, my stay was an entire disappointment, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
