Old Hotel, No lobby guest areas, great Location.
The Location is amazing. The rooms are very average in size. the room view was non existent. We were given a room with the heat out of order. After they checked the problem , they moved us to a lobby room with a window facing a cement fence. As Gold member i asked several times for the upgrade as promised by Hotels.com, but never received it. We stayed at a room facing a cement fence. Overall the hotel condition was old and very worn out. The bar was there but not servicing untill after 12.00pm. I had clients visiting that had to take them outside the hotel, looking for a quite place to discuss, because at the hotel lobby bar, they dont serve anything in the morning. In addition i had friends walking us back to the hotel at midnight and the Italian male staff, did not allow us to sit in the hotel lobby bar area although we were guests and kindly asked him 4-5 times. It was like a room to let situation. NO GUEST LOBBY AREAS UNFORTUNATELLY. Breakfast was 2 floors down and very poor 3 star buffet. All the staff was very helpful and polite. BUt this was not a 5 star hotel. More like a 3,5 star situation.
