If you are considering another hotel - choose that one. İf you stay at this hotel you will be made a nervous wreck. There is no understanding of guest relations at all. The Reception staff is not interested in making the guest feel welcomed. Their attitude is "You should be happy we accepted you to stay at this hotel. There is not one good thing about this hotel. Houskeeping is terrible. We stayed at this hotel 4 nights and the glasses and cups were never replaced. Room service never answers the phone. Drinks in the mini bar are never refilled. I am a VIP by Expedia and I checked in with a Platinum Amex but nevertheless they didnt want to give me an upgrade although they offered it for an extra charge of 60.00Euros a night. After some discussions they gave the upgrade without the extra charge. But everytime we needed to correspond with the hotel staff it was very unpleasant. The whole staff needs to take lessons in guest relations immediately. They must be made aware that this is a hospitality sector - not a correctional facility.

De bedden zijn top! Eigenlijk alles behalve het feit dat mijn kamer niet klaar was toen ik in wilde checken. Ik moest om 15.00 uur terug komen, wat normaal is. Toen was mijn kamer weer niet klaar en moesten we nog een keer 10 minuten wachten. Verder is het een fantastisch hotel met super vriendelijk personeel.

A disappointing experience at a high price.

Very fashionable hotel that could not live up to the facade. The suite, was a normal room, with a "suite" sign on the door. absolutely not what the pictures promised. the reception staff was absent minded and only responded when you had taken care of issues yourself. all in all a disappointing experience at a high price.

Düsseldorf is NOT a City in Germany to visit, unless you need to go for working or in business trip. The Steigenberger hotel is very well located, walking distance to shopping and Rhein promenade, restaurants and so. Beautifull location.

Stay somewhere else.

It was a long wait for the check-in and the young lady doing it did most of the things wrong. No one even asked to help with the luggage despite the fact that there was a staircase to the room and I had a big suitcase. The room looked dated, had a view over the fans on the yard and most of the lamps were unplugged and I had to crawl on the floor to put them in. The lock did not work so housekeeping and other staff came in 5 times when trying to dress. Next time, I will select another hotel in Düsseldorf. This was a sad experience.
