The Norfolk Arms is in the center of Glossop, and was a very nice surprise. I found it to be very clean and comfortable. I stayed 2 nights and had a lovely time visiting family.

Overall pleasant stay and ataff were friendly however we would not have booked if we had known that there would be a DJ playing till 12am as it was very loud in our room until that point so we think this should have been pointed out especially as we had booked a family room. I imagine it would be fine on a weekday

Lovely little village. Room was newly decorated. Tea&coffee. Hairdryer. Iron. TV.Comfy bed. Loved it had a bath. All you’d need for a nice relaxing stay.

A comfy clean room and the Hotel is in a lovely town the drives there and back , The young guy behind the bar on the Monday night was great did check in served the bar and cooked great pizzas (Only pizza was on the menu as the kitchen was closed) but he did a great job (sorry should have got his name) the Tuesday night there was no food including Pizza which was a bit of a let down so I had to eat elsewhere.

Es ist eine tolle Erfahrung gewesen und für mich war alles gut. Da die Zimmer oberhalb eines Pubs liegen muss man mit Geräuschen halt rechnen. Wenn man das nicht möchte, dann lieber woanders. Zimmer, Angestellte und auch die Zentrale Lage waren aber gut bis sehr gut.

Lovely room with large bed and a high single bed. Single bed was on a slope so not great. Biggest downside was the very loud music from downstairs which went on until after 11. Other than that nice pub, would stay again.

The car park out front is tiny and open to shoppers so couldn't park without moving the outside tables to make space, check in took 30 mins and they asked to see my driving licience, never been asked that before in all the hotels I've stayed at, room was dirty and visable crumbs all over the floor, didn't mention it as when I booked I was told it was the last room available, didnt risk eating there so popped over to subway, 100% wont be going back there

Room was great. Booking in was awful. All young staff, no management visible. Absolutely awful. Expected a bit of noise from pub. But sounded like being above a club. Drum and base beyond 12 midnight. Tea and coffee minimal. Wouldn’t consider staying again. Cleaner in the morning, absolutely delightful. Best member of staff for sure!

Saturday night stay

Lovely room and friendly staff. Good food in restaurant. Although we new we were staying above a busy pub on a Saturday night and expected some noise but not a DJ night. It sounded that his speaker's were right under our room so no sleep because of the noise until very late.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the town centre. Nice comfy clean and well maintained room. Very effective heating (which we turned down for sleeping!) on a bitterly cold February weekend. There's a limited number of free customer (non bookable) car parking spaces at the front of the building. Might not be suitable for early to bed/light sleepers due to some pre midnight music heard from the busy bar area beneath the bedrooms. Disabled guests should note that there's no lift, but the staircase is wide, and not too steep.

Great location. Good amenities in room - would be good to have a mini fridge though. Bed was comfortable, pillows not as a comfy. I was in room 1 which is facing the street and there was quite a lot of noise from cleaning vehicles at 6:30-7am. There was also pigeons on the front windowsill (there are spikes on the windowsill but not this spot) and they were cooing in the morning and throughout the day. As I was in the corner room, the WiFi wasn't great. I could connect easily on my phone but not on my laptop so had to use my phone as a hotspot to work, not great when it was supposed to be 5G. Overall a very pleasant stay, easy access to the room, great location, fantastic staff.

Two poor issues really, first we had to wait to check in whilst the young lady served drinks and changed the tv channel. Then when we returned to the bar for a drink the lights were unceremoniously turned off, so we took out drinks to our room. On the plus side the cleaners who were there when we left were very friendly. I have asked if the hotel wants me to provide a review but they have failed to get back to me - I guess that backs up my review !

Glossop is a lovely place

Wearher was great but no heating i. Rooms and T.V didnt work. Also when arrived was advised that we needed to pay even though we paid for the room upfront, on the the day of our friends wedding there was no breakfast as staff was doing training and was locked out of the hotel till 12noon on the day of our friends wedding which ment we had to rush to get sorted

I booked a family room for my son and I. Initially another child was coming too but luckily chose not to because when I got into the single bed it was very damp and to my horror was soaked in urine! It was absolutely horrific to say the least. It was late at night so I had no choice but to sleep in the bed with my 14 year old son, which was quite inappropriate. The next day the staff swapped the mattress over and were apologetic. However, I did feel this ruined our trip as we both struggled to sleep that first night.
