Heating issue with the room
The hotel was great however the temperature control / thermostat in our room wasn't working / was broken and the room would not heat up above 21 degrees celsius - so every night when we returned to our room it was 'cold' - we tried to turn up the heat but it never worked - we did call down to reception to report this and they sent up an engineer (although with no disrespect I question if he was an actual engineer as he didn't seem to have much knowledge) and he said that the 'main' thermostat outside the room needs to be turned up and that he has done that but it will take 3/4 hours for the heating to go up to 23 degrees - in the meantime he provided up with a portable radiator but this did very little as it was tiny and the room was large - I debated with him that this will not fix the problem but his English was very limited and he just left us with radiator - the heating did not go up to 23 degrees within 3/4 hours (as I expected) and the next morning we did mention this to the reception and they said they would have this fixed by the time we got back and the room will be at 23 degrees for us returning that night - but when we got back around 10pm the room was still cold and the temperature on the thermostat still showed 21 degrees - we just gave up as we were leaving in a couple of days and I thought I would submit a complaint after we left as I did not want to waste any more time dealing with the hotel staff - I did expect alot more from HILTON but it was not to be....
