Great location. Loved our room with a view of the Acropolis. Staff were super helpful and friendly. One night even had happy hour for guests with free wine. The restaurant attached is delicious as well!

I loved my 8 night stay at the City Circus. The building is beautiful and my room (4 bed female dorm with en-suite) was spacious with a locker large enough to fit my suitcase into. Bed very comfortable and all staff are awesome.
Note that it isn't a party hostel. Guests range from young to old, all with different reasons for their Athens stay.
The night manager is very strict about noise - quiet time in the communal areas is from 23.30.
Open plan kitchen is very useful.
The street itself is quite tatty (albeit in a very fun and safe area) like much of Athens and there is quite a bit of street noise. The building is historic and they're not allowed to add modern soundproofing. I live in central London so noise doesn't bother me much but please bear this element in mind if you're looking for lots of peace and quiet.

I cant recommend staying at a better place.
The rooms are lovely, great ambience, always an evening event, if you want to socialise. Friendly staff. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. I will stay again next time im in Athens.
