"We had a great stay!
The family room we had was massive and perfect for what we wanted.
It was very, very hot in the room with no way of cooling it down! We really struggled to sleep.
We were given 2 fans, but they just blew the hot air around, it was unbareable.
BUT because it's an old building we understand there is not a lot that could be done and they can't help the weather, but maybe portable air conditioning units might be worth considering.
Also we had problems with the TV, we only had BBC channels, spoke to staff several times, they tried to help, but they admittedly didn't really have a clue, but they still tried to help, which we appreciated, they said someone was called out and fixed it while we were out, but it wasn't fixed, so we just gave up.
Breakfast was amazing! Choice of food was great and quality brilliant.
All the staff were lovely and friendly, they did try their best to help when needed, even if they weren't too sure on something.
We would not hesitate to stay again, just maybe not if we know it's going to be during a hot spell!
The place is lovely and clean, very quiet and full of character. You won't be disappointed!
