There’s an excellent range of things to do in Qatar, partially because this country has a fascinating past and a bright future. From the past, you can find old forts, traditional markets and ancient carvings. The present and future bring us the striking metropolis of Doha, with its glittering skyscrapers and manmade islands.

The Middle Eastern country also has an impressive array of natural attractions. There’s the open desert, which is fun to blast around in a 4x4, as well as mangrove forests and lakes with a rich array of plants and animals. And that’s just on land – there are also some impressive coastlines and excellent places to snorkel and dive.
