The apartment that was listed by Expedia ha slang problems. I called both Expedia and the Homestays Greece company the first moment I arrived.
.) There was a very strong smell of gasoline the entire time we were there. We tried air fresheners, but this is a basement apartment (not listed that it was underground).
.) It is filled with cockroaches. We taped all the edges of the floor and walls shut and this helped somewhat, but it was disgusting nonetheless. I brought my children on this vacation and we had to wear shoes so as not to step on the bugs at night time!
.) The kitchen…there was one steak knife and it broke in half when I tried to cut an apple. There was one bowl, three plates, greasy pan that looked old, a broken down oven, and no towels or utensils to cook with!!! It looked like customers or employees had stolen most of the kitchen supplies. We did have one fork though. That was fortunate.
.) Both coffee tables had one broken leg, so we could not place anything on top or it would crash to the floor. I sat on the only bench in the apartment and it too was broken and I went toppling over backwards. It was actually pretty funny. Someone had stuck the broken leg into the bench!
.) The bathroom sink was broken in the back with the drain attachment. So every time we turned on the tap water poured onto the floor.
.) they gave us one sheet and two towels each for four weeks. No cleaning service!!!!!! I spent my vacation hanging sheets and clothes all over.
