Train your staff, respect your guests
The staff is not well trained. We sent an email prior to our arrival which was never replied. The front desk staff was polite but not professional & not efficient. We asked to be moved in a cleaner room and we were given another room as an upgrade but it was also dirty (hair, shampoo (?) remains in the bathroom especially, dirt on the walls), with outdated bathrooms, & outdated furnishing. I get that the building and facilities are old, but I don't get why it was not properly cleaned. The manager who showed us the new room gave me the feeling that he just wanted to get rid off us and had no interest to know what bothered us. No accountability. The spa service was ok but understaffed and also not well trained in terms of communication with the guests. For example we asked for two sessions of 1-hour massage treatments (back to back since there was no second therapist on Monday shift) and the reply was that they can do two sessions of 30 minutes back to back because the therapist will get tired! It was impressive enought that the therapy was interrupted a couple of times cause there was noone at the spa reception & the therapist on duty had to leave the room twice to check who is shouting at the front desk! Still the massage itself was very good. In the morning buffet, the lady on duty informed us that they could provide fresh hot omelet after having filled our plates with the cold omelet and other untasty food. I don't like wasting food so I refused. A hair was also in my meal.
