Very good hotel with some minor complaints
Our first experience was unfortunately not good. When we arrived we were told that due to a "system glitch"they had to send us to a near by hotel for the first night. Not very convenient, especially when travelling with children. Afterwards, we learnt that this was not a one-time incident and it is being done all the time.
The room was smaller than expected and the positioning of the air condition unit (a MUST in the heat during the night in Greece in August) was the worst since it was blowing directly on our heads with no option to change the air flow direction (the control unit was built-in the wall and had limited options). Speaking of the AC, the thermostat didn't seem to work since in practice it only had two options: if you set the AC above the current room temperature, it was freezing all night. If you set it below, it was just air blowing like a simple fan. Finally, the led on the AC was blinding, we had to tape over it to be able to sleep.
Other than that, the staff was cheerful and helpful, the breakfast and dinner were very good and the pool was also very nice. The various night events were fun, although a couple were cancelled during our stay.
