San-A Naha Main Place is one of the biggest shopping malls in Naha. The multi-storey complex is a very popular place for both visitors and locals alike. It’s home to a range of supermarkets, fashion brands, electronics and homeware stores. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants and cafes, including Starbucks.
The shopping centre has a movie theatre called Cinema Q, which airs the latest local and international films. San-A Naha Main Place is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from the Omoromachi Monorail Station. If you’re getting around Naha by car, the mall has a huge free parking area with room for over 2,500 cars.

Kokusai Dori is Naha’s main shopping street, stretching for around 2 km in the city centre. The thoroughfare is lined with restaurants, bars, hotels, and various shops. From souvenir stores to large department stores, you'll find everything that you need within walking distance of each other.
A little way from Kokusai Dori there are several covered shopping arcades that contain smaller vendors and local shops. Kokusai Dori is also a popular nightlife hotspot, with live music and street performances taking place throughout the weekend. On Sundays, the street is closed to traffic and many food stalls line the walkways.

First Makishi Public Market is one of the longest-running food markets in Naha. Accessible within a 2-minute walk down from Kokusai Dori, it’s a great place to explore the local culture and culinary scene. The market has more than 100 shops and stalls across 2 storeys.

Tsuboya Yachimun Street is a picturesque paved street in central Naha. Just a short walk away from Kokusai Dori, it's known as the city’s epicentre of history and craft of traditional pottery. The beautiful buildings escaped much of the damage from World War II, so a walk through the narrow alley is like taking a step back in time.

Palette Kumoji is a prominent shopping centre in central Naha. It's at the southwestern end of the main street, Kokusai Dori. Saion Square is a public square at the north-eastern end of Kokusai Dori. A very popular shopping spot among locals, it’s home to a variety of community services, a hotel, and a compact mall. The Cargoes Shopping Mall has a convenience market, beauty salons, florists, and cosmetic shops.
You’ll also find a small planetarium, public library, fitness gym and car rental agency in Saion Square. The outdoor area is decorated with traditional sculptures and lights that come on at night.
