Penrith

In the Eden Valley in Cumbria sits Penrith, a town famed as the home of Penrith Castle, a 14th-century edifice that stands on a lush grassy meadow. Other ancient wonders here include the neolithic era henge of King Arthur’s Round Table and the standing stone circle of Long Meg and Her Daughters, which dates to circa 1500 BCE.
